Devotional prayer or promise
Blessed Virgin, Mother and Queen of Carmel, I dedicate myself to You out of gratitude and love; I promise to serve You with childlike love and fidelity. Following Your example, I want to follow Your Son, Jesus Christ, in Faith and Love. Like you, I want to serve God and people with prayer, sacrifice and effective love. Listen, good Mother, to my promise and receive it graciously. Give me the Grace to persevere in faithfulness to Christ and His Church under Your Protection.
After the consecration prayer, we take a small rosary in our hands, which is composed of twenty-two beads.
On the first bead after the cross we pray:
Apostles’ Creed
On each subsequent three grains, we pray:
Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory to the Father…

After we have prayed these three prayers seven times: Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be to the Father, we pray in honor of the Wounds of Jesus:

When we have finished praying the rosary, let’s crown our address to Our Lady of Carmel by the prayer of St. Simon Stock, which he himself often prayed:

God, which Carmelite Order you decorated with the honorable name of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with childlike confidence we pray for Her maternal Protection. Let us feel Peace and Security under Her Protection, and reach eternal Joy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
