Gate of Eternity

Gate of Eternity

Reading of the Holy Gospel of John
(Jh 10, 1-10)

At that time Jesus said:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you:
whoever does not enter the sheepfold by the door,
but it skips somewhere else,
he is a thief and a bandit.
And whoever enters the door,
he is a shepherd of sheep.
The doorman opens the door
and the sheep hear his voice.
He calls his sheep by name and leads them out.
And when he does all he can,
he goes before them
and the sheep follow him
because they know his voice.
Of course, they don’t go after a stranger,
they are already running away from him
because they don’t know a stranger’s voice.”

Jesus told them that comparison, but they did not understand what he wanted to tell them. Therefore Jesus said to them again:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you:
I am the door to the sheep.
All who came before me,
they are thieves and bandits;
but the sheep did not listen to them..
I am the door.
Whoever enters through me will be saved;
and will go in and out
and find pasture.
A thief comes only to steal,
slaughter and execute.
I came that they may have life,
in abundance to have it.’

Word of God.

Jesus speaks for himself: I am the door and He is that. Once, for all Eternity, it is necessary to pass through that Door… Simply, go through them and walk the Way that He is. These are the depths of Mysteries, Truth, Love, Hope… These are the depths of Eternity.

No matter how much a person wants in his life… from I don’t know when, until again, almost only God knows the time… to wander, to search, to hope… the Door of holy Eternity remains… there remains one truth of life, which man alone with himself and with God, of course, sometimes he discovers, lives, and it is either to his salvation or to his condemnation, because there is no third.

Christ brings Salvation… and let us find that pasture, about which Jesus himself speaks. Let’s find ourselves in honest work, in patience towards others, in humility towards ourselves and towards God, as well as in mutual understanding that brings fruit, as well as offspring for all Eternity.

Christ said everything, and let us believe and by work testify to our Faith, our prayer, our Pride to which we belong – Jesus Christ.
