1. Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary

© Here is the Most Holy Moment, for which humanity should really be grateful… Oh, our Mother, all immersed in Humility, adorned with Virtue… blessed with a unique Peace…

From the Holy Gospel of Luke (Lk 1, 26-38)

In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to a Galilean city called Nazareth to a virgin betrothed to a husband whose name was Joseph from the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. The angel entered her and said: “Hello, full of grace! The Lord is with You!” At that word, she laughed and began to think about what kind of greeting it would be. But the angel said to her: “Don’t be afraid, Mary! You found grace in God. Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of David, his father, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever and there will be no end to His Kingdom.”

Then Mary said to the angel: “How will it be when I do not know my husband?” The angel answered her: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the Power of the Most High will overshadow you. That is why that child will be holy, the Son of God. And here is your cousin Elizabeth: she also conceived a son in her old age. And for her, called barren, this is already her sixth month. Nothing is impossible for God!

Then Mary said: “Here is the servant of the Lord, may it be according to Your Word!” And the angel left Her.

2. Visit of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Saint Elizabeth

© Meeting of two great women… A meeting of Blessings, Comfort, and Hope… Whom does our heart so truly, like the Mother’s visit, meet today… now…?

From the Holy Gospel of Luke (Lk 1, 39-45)

On those days, Mary got up and hurried to hills, to the town of Judas. She entered Zacharia’s house and greeted Elizabeth. As soon as Elizabeth heard Marys greeting, the child danced in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and cried out at the top of her voice: “Blessed are You among women and blessed is the Fruit of Your Womb!” And where did the Mother of my Lord come to me from? Just look! As soon as the Voice of Your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb danced with joy. Blessed are you for believing that what was told to you by the Lord will be fulfilled!”

Then Mary said:
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
, my spirit clicks in God,

my Saviour,
l
ooking at the insignificance of your servant:

From now on, here, all generations will follow me
call me blessed.
Because the Almighty has done great things for me,

Holy is His Name!
From generation to generation, His goodness is
over those who fear Him.
He displays the Strength of His Muscles,
and scatters the proud ones
.

Cast the mighty from the Throne,
and the heights insignificant.

Fill the hungry with good things,
and the rich let to empty go.
Accepts Israel, His servant,
as he promised our fathers:

remember His Goodness
towards Abraham and his descendants

forever.«

Mary stays with Elizabeth for about three months, and then returns home.

3. The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ in Bethlehem

© Let’s show ourselves like holy parents today and forever… To the Little Prince of Love, Peace, Joy and Forgiveness

From the Holy Gospel of Matthew (Mt 1, 18-25; 2, 1-12)

And the Birth of Jesus Christ happened like this. His Mother Mary, engaged to Joseph, before they met, found herself pregnant by the Holy Spirit. And Joseph, Her husband, righteous, did not want to expose her to shame, but planned to leave her secretly. While he was dreaming, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife.” What was conceived in Her is truly from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son, and you will name Him Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.”

All this happened to fulfill what the Lord said through the prophet: Behold, the Virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son and will be called Emmanuel – which means: God is with us!

When Joseph woke up from his dream, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife. And he did not meet her until she gave birth to a Son. And he named Him Jesus.

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, behold, wise men from the East appeared in Jerusalem asking: “Where is this newborn King of the Jews?” We saw where His star was rising, so we came to worship Him.”

When King Herod heard that, he and all Jerusalem with him were troubled. He summoned all the chief priests and scribes of the people, and asked them where Christ was to be born. They answered him: “In Bethlehem of Judea, because this is what the prophet writes: And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah!” You are by no means the smallest among the principalities of Judah, because from you will come a Ruler who will bring down my people – Israel!”

Then Herod secretly called the wise men and discerned from them the time when the star appeared. Then he sent them to Bethlehem: “Go,” he said, “and inquire carefully about the Child.” When you find Him, let me know so I can go and worship Him.”

They, having listened to the king, followed. And behold, the star, whose rising it saw, went before them until it came and stopped above the place where the Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy. They entered the house, saw the Child with Mary, His Mother, fell on their faces and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and brought him gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh. After being instructed in a dream not to return to Herod, they went another way to their country.

4. Presentation of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple

© Holiness of St. Šimuna, in the midst of the very Creator and Sharer of Holy Love – the Holy Spirit, becomes so unique, humble, and imbued with the depth of feelings, as well as the very fulfillment of expectation.

From the Holy Gospel of Luke (Lk 2, 21-38)

When the eight days were up for him to be circumcised, they gave him the name Jesus, as the angel had called him before his conception. When the days of their purification were completed according to the Law of Moses, they took Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord – as it is written in the Law of the Lord: Let every male firstborn be dedicated to the Lord! – and to offer a sacrifice as stated in the Law of the Lord: two turtledoves or two doves.

At that time, a man named Simon lived in Jerusalem. That man, righteous and God-fearing, was waiting for the Comfort of Israel and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

The Holy Spirit revealed to him that he will not see death until he sees the Lord’s Anointed. Prompted by the Spirit, he came to the Temple. And when the parents brought the Child Jesus in to do what the Law prescribes about Him, he took Him in his arms, blessed God and said: “Now you release your servant, Lord, according to your Word, in Peace!” My eyes saw Your Salvation, which you prepared before the face of all nations: Light enlightenment nation, the glory of his Israelite.”

His Father and Mother marveled at what was being said about Him. Simon blessed them and said to Mary, His Mother: “This one is set for the destruction and exaltation of many in Israel and as a disputed sign – and the sword will pierce your own Soul – so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed!”

And there was a certain prophetess Anna, daughter of Penuel, from the tribe of Asher, a woman very advanced in years. After girlhood, she lived with her husband for seven years, and alone as a widow until she was eighty-four. She did not leave the Temple, but served God day and night with fasting and prayers. At that very moment she came. She praised God and told everyone who was waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem about the Child.

5. Finding our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple

© Beauty of Wisdom… and speak to our hearts and breathe into our souls. Dear Son of Love, thank you for everything…

From the Holy Gospel of Luke (Lk 2, 41-52)

His parents went to Jerusalem every year on Passover. When He was twelve years old, they ascended according to the holiday custom. When those days were over, they returned, and the Boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem, without His parents knowing. Convinced that He is among their companions, they walk for a day, and then stop to look for Him among relatives and acquaintances. And when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem looking for Him.

After three days they found Him in the Temple, where He was sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking questions. All who listened to Him were enraptured by His reasonableness and answers. When they saw Him, they were amazed, and His Mother said to Him: “Son, why did you do this to us? Behold, Your father and I were sorrowfully looking for You.” And He said to them: “Why did you look for me? Did you not know that it is my pleasure to be in what is my Father’s?” They did not understand the words that He said to them.

And He went down with them, came to Nazareth and was obedient to them. And His Mother carefully kept all these memories in her Heart. And Jesus progressed in Wisdom, Years and Mercy with God and people.
