Established Fraternity, of blessed Ivan Merz in Auckland (New Zealand)

Many in Croatia are familiar with the two Samoan brothers Kristijan and Austin from New Zealand, who come to our homeland every year and perform concerts of Croatian songs.

Last year, on the occasion of their stay in Zagreb, they got to know the blessed Ivan Merz and they were delighted with him.

After returning to New Zealand, they founded the Brotherhood of the blessed Ivan Merz, about which they informed us at the beginning of this month, and at the same time announced the news on March 12 on their FB profile.

The fraternity has nine members, as can be seen in our featured photo from this post.

The priests of their Brotherhood are two priests, one of whom is Rev. Antony Sumić, originally Croat.

Below is a translation of their recent post on FB:

BROTHERHOOD OF BLESSED IVAN MERZ – Newly founded group of young men with our pastor, Rev. Fr. Antony Sumić FSSP and assistant priest Fr. Nathan Pospichil FSSP. – We founded this group under the protection of blessed Ivan Merz, in order to help young men in their pursuit of holiness in our lay class. It is a good message to people that in our daily lives we can achieve extraordinary things through God’s Grace and through faithfulness to our Faith, especially when we have devotion to the Eucharist and to Mary. Please pray for our newly founded group and we hope that in the future we will visit the grave of blessed Ivann Merz in Zagreb.
