To both God and man!

To both God and man!

Reading of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew (Mt 22, 34-40)

At that time: When the Pharisees heard how Jesus silenced the Sadducees, they gathered, and one of them, a lawyer, to test Him, asked: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” And He said to him: “Love the Lord your God with all my heart and all my soul and all my mind. It is the greatest and first commandment. Another, similar to this one: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Word of God.

Dearest in Christ,

in the middle of these evangelical words and messages… really, what does Jesus want to tell us?! What is the point of loving someone…? Well, what is the point of loving God, but also loving man, almost as oneself?!

Truly, I would like us to feel this Love of God, because I have the feeling that absolutely every human being, especially because of the lack of God’s Love, which he somehow feels and experiences… does what he does… And there is no justification, because we , all of us, mostly… aware of all these acts and procedures.

I can only cry: God, give us… Oh, God, give us that holy and indestructible Love both for You and for man, because to You as well as to man… we cannot offer anything good or noble, without Of Your Influence, Your Gift and Your Grace…
