Reading of the Holy Gospel of John (Jn 20:1-2, 11-18)

On the first day of the week, early in the morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and noticed that the stone had been lifted from the tomb. So he ran and came to Simon Peter and the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have put him.”

Then she came again and stood outside by the tomb and wept. Weeping, she peered into the tomb and saw two angels in whiteness sitting in the place where the body of Jesus lay – one at the head, the other at the feet. They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” He answered them, “They have taken my Lord, and I do not know where they have put Him.” Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” Thinking it was the gardener, she said to him, “Lord, if thou hast carried Him away, tell me where thou hast put Him, and I will take Him.” Jesus said to her: “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabbuni!” – which means: “Master!” Jesus said to her, “Do not tarry with me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father, but go to my brethren and tell them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and to your God.”

So Mary Magdalene went and told the disciples, “I have seen the Lord, and he has told me these things.”

Word of God.

Sometimes faith and sometimes unbelief prevails over a person… overcomes the mystery of the unknown, the unknown and the unexperienced.

No matter how believers or non-believers we are, we understand God within the framework of a familiar terrain in which we cannot get lost, but the fact is that God is really much more than that.

This Gospel teaches us that God is not just a body, he is not just a spirit, he is not just a sentence, nor an institution…. God is in the souls of people. God is in the human view of the world and beyond.

God is truly in the heart of each one of us, but it is difficult to know this, except when He lets us know that it is so… Let us realize at this moment that God is in our hearts, as we are.
